Tobacco Control Program Performance Report, 2016-2017

This report shows Cambodia’s experience and key achievements in tobacco control based on the World Health Organization’s six guiding principles (MPOWER) for tackling the spread of tobacco use globally.

Reducing the use of tobacco products is a public health priority in Cambodia. To participate in educating and reducing tobacco use, the relevant institutions have taken action as follows:

  • Legislated and enforced the law on tobacco control and other regulations.
  • Led the campaign to raise awareness about the impact of tobacco use on health.
  • Provided counselling on giving up smoking habits or tobacco use.
